TV Catchup Suspends service
by David Allen

When TV catchup was released at the end of last year there must have been alarm bells ringing all around the main TV channels offices and just to prove the point there has been several complaints from main terrestrial channel lead by the BBC.
This move has lead to the suspension of the site, where users could actually record TV programmes and watch them later when they have the time, but unlike a digital recorder this all takes place online and so this could be the problem, for once this is online there is no control over what happens to it.
The BBC and other channels are worried about their content and copyrights, it is believed that the websites hosting terminated the account at the request of the BBC and the other channels, if that is at all possible. But things move very quickly when the boys want to stop something so it is still unclear exactly what has happened here, apart from the fact that TV Catchup is no more, which is a shame as the concept of being able to view programmes at different time is catching on.
