Premium TV needs to gain trust

Premium TV needs to gain trust<br />

The huge market in TV phone lines for competitions and phone voting on all sorts of TV shows has grown into a massive £139 million market, but as with many things there is always something that can upset the publics point of view towards things like this could actually damage the industry for a long time or you would have thought.

But with the success of those shows that have been on recently the damage could only have been a temporary measure, according to the regulator Phonepayplus they believe that the market has the potential to grow but only if the public regain their trust in the system, with 13% of all premium rate phone traffic coming from the TV shows there is room to expand.

On the plus side for the industry it is estimated that these premium rated voting numbers are hugely popular with those in the 25 to 34 age group, which probably accounts for there not being a serious drop off in the wake of all those problems last year. The shows and the way the phones lines are managed throughout 2008 will have a major bearing as to whether these are trusted again or not.
