Product List Of Nvidia’s Geforce 9 Series Released
by Rohan Parker
According to sources in the industry, Nvidia is set to release the full range of the GeForce 9 series, the forerunner of which was the mid range 9600 GT, which should hit graphics card makers in the next few months.
The graphics card manufacturers are set to launch their high end products first, on March 11 and then later in the month or early April, with the dual-GPU GeForce 9800 GX2 to release first, then the GeForce 9800 GTX and 9800 GT.
Next will be the mid range products, the GeForce 9600 GS, which is expected in May.
Lastly will be the value range from June through July, with Nvidia releasing GeForce 9500 GT which will have a G96 graphics core and a lowered memory interface of 128 bit, and then the GeForce 9500 GS will follow.
Due to Nvidia only currently cornering 3% of the basic level, those that retail in the US for $30 to $90, graphics card market, they are not going to target this area of the market with the GeForce 9 series products and instead focus on their high end IGP chipset sales.
Nvidia would not make a statement regarding the released information, as their policy dictates they make no comment on unannounced products.
