In the aftermath of a raid yesterday, Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS), has released a statement outlining the company’s stance on the issue.

The Chinese-language newspaper, The Liberty Times, reported that the company is under investigation because of allegations surrounding the company’s take over of Uniwill Computer. Prosecutors in the case ordered the raid in an effort to find evidence of insider stock trading which is illegal.

The release from ECS stated the company had no knowledge of any illegal activities, that their take over is completely above board, and that they intend to cooperate with prosecutors completely to exhaustively combat the allegations.
