Channel Four and BBC Worldwide

Channel Four and BBC Worldwide<br />

The BBC have been talking about letting BBC Worldwide go, either through a float or merger this has raised several questions about the future of the service. But it looks as if there may be a solution that would suit all and keep the BBC Worldwide service going.

Apparently Channel four could be interested in taking a stake in BBC Worldwide, this is a little further along than we may have imagined as it would seem that the government is already considering how a deal like this would work. But basically Channel Four are not going to do it for nothing they need revenues and a share of the profits would appear to be the best deal.

Multi channel television has changed the whole face of TV in the UK, things were so much simpler when there were only four channels, but these days there is more of crossover approach with all of the main channels partnering in some form or other. On March 13th Channel Four will be announcing their vision of the future, no doubt there will be some news about BBC Worldwide too.
