T Mobile to invest Ubiquisys
by David Allen

In order to provide their customers with their own residential broadband service, T Mobile have decided to invest in the company that builds home networking equipment Ubiquisys who are based in Swindon, they are in good company because Google are also a backer of the company.
The purpose is to get their home mobile mast equipment tested as soon as possible; the estimated date is later on the year, which does not actually give too much away. There has been a lot spoken about the Femtocells which connect to a broadband line and boosts it allowing the owner to use their own mobile phone through their very own personal phone mast.
This a great way that mobile phone operators can offer better services to their customers without having to create a huge network of cables and masts all around the country. There is a lot of interest in this sort of technology with other companies developing the same idea, so it will not be long before we get to see Femtocells being offered from various mobile phone operators.
