WTA Award For CapRock Communications
by Rohan Parker
The World Teleport Association (WTA) announced the winner of their Independent Teleport Operator of the year award, last week, giving the illustrious award to CapRock Communications for their continued growth and expansion.
Every year the WTA awards those companies in the telecommunications industry that have exhibited exceptional accomplishments during the previous year. In this case, CapRock had shown not only that they could maintain the growth they had made in previous years, but that they could also successfully expand into new geographic locales throughout the world and expand their current range of products and services.
During 2007 CapRock embarked on a new service, called SeaAccess Communications, which is a permanent broadband service for not only corporate networking needs for the maritime industry, but also for the morale needs of its crews. Many fleets around the world have already taken up contracts with the new SeaAccess service.
CapRock also acquired Arrowhead Global Solutions, Inc., which allowed them to offer even more services worldwide and started a new operations base - with a new hub - out of Perth, Australia, in an effort to broaden capabilities and services offered to clients from Africa right through to the entirety of the Asia Pacific region to Houston, Texas.
