360 price drop more or less confirmed.

Reports from Europe claim that prices for the Xbox 360 will drop as from today. The new price structure is believed to be, Elite will retail at €399, with Pro at €299 and Arcade will hit the shops at €199.
Official confirmation is expected sometime before noon Monday. The German Financial Times newspaper claims to have confirmation of reports that have been circulating for over a week that Microsoft intends an across-the-board price cut of the Xbox 360 in Europe.
Two weeks ago, there were reports of a reduction in price of €50 per SKU; these new reductions are considerably higher than anticipated. Arcade, which does not include a hard drive, was introduced in 2007 as Microsoft’s response to the games ever expanding demographic base. The pro version of Xbox comes complete with hard drive and a wireless controller.
It is believed that the repricing is intended to face up to the success of the Wii from Nintendo, and bring retail prices into line with the competition.
Changes to the price of the Elite version of the game are as yet confirmed, apparently, Microsoft are still undecided at this late hour, as to whether the changes will be implemented for the Elite.
The Elite version of the Xbox features a larger hard drive, and a black casing.
