ITV shows to be on BeBo
by David Allen

ITV are looking at BeBo the social networking site to increase its digital revenues, in fact they are looking to reach revenues of £150 million per year by 2010. This partnership with Bebo Open Media is the first time that full length programmes from ITV have been available online through a third party service.
They have wasted no time in getting this organised as the first programme the US show Gossip Girl will be shown today. The programme will be shown on ITV2, but will also be available on the Bebo channel bebo.com/gossipgirl. Other programmes will then follow using the programming from ITV2 which is aimed at the younger audience of thirteen to twenty four year olds.
The choice of programming has been specifically chosen to work in line with the user demographic of Bebo users. With each channel there will be other content including blogs, galleries, forums and the all important polls. Users will also be able to add content from ITV onto their own Bebo pages too.
