Manchester to become a digital city<br />

Ever since the rejuvenation of the city centre in Manchester it has become a very fashionable place, both to live and to work. But plans are currently being put forward as the Manchester Digital Strategy, which plans to offer all users of the internet connection speed up a thousand times faster than what can be received today.

The so called next generation open network broadband will spearhead the digital master plan that will see a new alliance between the councils, community interest groups, businesses, local education departments as well having input from individuals too.

By forging ahead with this plan it will make the city a very attractive prospect for business, services, jobs and training opportunities for both businesses and for individual residents. Building digital cities could however cause problems down the line, because there will be these hi tech cities dotted around the country, but about the gaps in between the cities?
