Changes happening at Five

Changes happening at Five<br />

It looks like there are some channels that are going after the same business, with C4 and BBC Three going after the younger viewer, it would seem that Five is planning to do the same thing. It is the channel named Five Life which is to get the younger and much brighter look and feel. The first order of business is the make a name change, so from now on the channel will be known as Fiver.

However this is just the initial steps that have been planned for the whole family of Five channels. The new Fiver channel is being marketed as from the beginning of April as being younger, faster and louder. There are many ways of taking what that means, but clearly it is not going to be targeted at those people who like a nice quiet evening in front of the television.

With the name change there will be some programme changes too; these will include many new US imports that will be based around celebrity, glamour and fashion. This gives an idea of the general direction that this is going in and it is something that channels need to do occasionally.
