BT Openreach to payout compensation<br />

The telecom regulators Ofcom have been looking into the BT Openreach operation and how they provide the wholesale service to its customers, that has made Ofcom bring in some new rules on the service that they are providing and to pay out some compensation for any bad services that they provide to their customers.

These new rules will mean compensation will be paid without the need for the customer to make a claim, only when there are certain problems with the system such as:

If there is a fault is fixed or a phone line provided later than expected.
Whenever the service falls below the desired threshold.
Keep paying up until the upper limit is reached.
For not unbundling all of the lines and keeping them live.
