Amino integrates AmiNET130 STB with G-cluster HD games

IPTV platform supplier, Amino Communications, launched an integration of the AmiNET130 Set-Top Box (STB) with the first G-cluster HD games on demand application, at the IPTV World Forum 2008, the world leading IPTV event at Olympia, London, 12 – 14 March.

The solution allows telcos to offer an interactive gaming service which provides popular titles from the traditional games console market. It provides an opportunity to build revenue by promoting the STB as the technology point of convergence in the home.

Users will be able to play streaming HD games, such as Resident Evil 4® and Sensible SoccerTM, via a wireless USB gamepad.

Amino Communications’ AmiNET range is designed to reduce service operators’ capital expenditure, while offering a full spec, including MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 encoding standards, standard and high definition TV, personal video recording and home networking.
