Firebox is selling the all new Topfield 5810 Freeview Playback recorder that’s capable of up scaling broadcasts to a high resolution image and boasts a 500GB memory - that’s over 250 hours of video.

The Freeview Playback functionality means a EPG and handy features like series link are possible and there’s two tuners for watching and recording at the same time.

There’s HDMI out for that 720p/1080i upscaling while an optical digital audio socket delivers Dolby Digital output, the USB 2.0 connectivity will mean you can reach content off your PC, or hook it up for firmware updates.

The box itself will set you back £330 and is available now.
