It can stream and output 720p and 1080i HD video, and also 480i and 480p. It supports the H.264 (MPEG4 AVC), WMV9, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, XviD, AVI, HDV, and AVCHD video formats; many audio formats including, WMA, MP3, Dolby Digital (AC3), AAC-LC, AAC-HE; and the usual image formats.

  1. Supports HD, but why not the full 1080p, and a why no 1Gb network port!? Also, can can the unit stream files directly from a NAS box and NOT require a PC to be running, and can it handle original MPEG-2 ripped from my DVDs? Those to me are the basline requirements of any box now.
