According to sources at VIA Technologies, the new Isaiah CPU’s which are to ship in the second quarter this year in the PC market have encouraged the company to support the new processors for the embedded market as well.

Though those same sources stated that the profits would not be known for the embedded market until well into 2009.

At this stage, VIA have already made successful forays into the in-flight entertainment application sector with their embedded products. VIA are expected to make this market a large focus for the company in the next two to three years time.
