Orange to launch IPTV by end of 2008
by David Allen

During a press conference aptly held in Cannes, France. The Chief Executive of France Telecom, the parent company of Orange announced the plans that will see Orange providing a full internet film and television service.
This service will be showing top films and TV programmes, as France Telecom have recently signed up with Warner Bros, HBO, International Television and French film production house Gaumont to broadcast their films and TV programming.
There has been some talk of this before but the idea never really materialised for one reason or another. But now because of the deals signed up for content it looks as if this will really be happening this time.
If all things go according to plan then it is possible that this service will be up and running by the end of the year. This will give Orange the opportunity to expand their services from broadband and mobile phone services.
