SnapMyLife photo sharing site launched

US-company Mobicious Inc has launched SnapMyLife, a mobile social media site which allows people to instantly share camera phone photos by uploading them to the site via picture messaging (MMS) or email.

The site, which is optimised for viewing on cell phones, gained over 1,000 members each day during a 90 day trial period prior to the launch, and was listed in the top 10 social networking web applications for the Apple iPhone.

As well as allowing members to share their images with friends and family, SnapMyLife provides real-time alerts and broadcast of new photos, so a member can instantly view photos from their contacts.

As well as photo-sharing, SnapMyLife members can also interact with other users and brands by creating a personalised set of users to follow.

Mobicious Inc also operates Mobicious.com, the largest mobile content directory in the United States.

Mobicious.com help users find content for their mobile phone including music and videos, trustworthy sources of ringtones, images, and games. It also allows them to create their own ringtones and wallpapers.

Mobicious Inc has its headquarters in Needham, Massachusetts.
