Samsung has updated its range of Aura notebooks, which it launched last year, with the new R410 model.

The glossy black R410 has a 14.1-inch, 1,280 x 800 display with a high contrast coating, and an Intel 45nm Penryn CPU.

It features ATI Radeon Xpress 1250M graphics, a DVD writer, 1.3 megapixel webcam, and a welcome ExpressCard slot.

Connectivity options include Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and Super G Wi-Fi.

The R410’s standard six cell battery provides over three hours of use before it needs recharging.

The easily portable notebook weighs just over five pounds, and will be available in Europe from May, priced at around £499.
