Flextronics And MSI Win Dell Notebook Orders

According the a Chinese newspaper, Economic Daily News, Flextronics International, the EMS provider based in Singapore, and Micro-Star International (MSI), a first-tier motherboard manufacturer based out of Taiwan, have together won orders from Dell for Desktop PCs.

The collaboration of MSI and Flextronics will see the former working on designs for PCs, whilst the latter will be manufacturing chassis. This deal could mean a rise of 20% in motherboard shipments in 2009 for MSI, with the company potentially shipping over 25 million units. Shipments of OEM based orders for MSI could rise up to 60% as a result of this new deal.
