Averox plans further enhancements for Provisus

Averox is planning to make further planned enhancements to its licensed ProvisusTM provisioning and activation solutions portfolio. The enhancements will be to support the provisioning/activation of next generation services mainly based on Internet Protocol and, in particular, it is planned that the enhancements will include support for IPTV.

It has been estimated that the number of global IPTV subscribers will grow from 13.5 million in 2007 to 72.6 million in 2011, a compound annual growth rate of 40%.

In 2007, Averox entered into a global partnership with Provisus Ltd, a UK-based operations support systems solutions provider to the telecom industry, for ProvisusTM convergent service activation software solution.

Under the terms of this agreement, Averox markets, sells, deploys and supports ProvisusTM to telecom operators globally.

It is anticipated that version 3.0 of ProvisusTM will be generally available for customer deployments in the second half of 2008. It is believed that the further enhancements to Provisus will enable communication service providers to quickly deploy revenue generating next generation services.
