O2 step in with mobile broadband
by David Allen

It has taken some time for them to get their act together, but O2 the mobile service provider who is owned by Telefonica, will today begin to sell their version of the mobile broadband service. This will be just in time to take advantage of the huge demand for this type of service.
O2 will be offering their 3 Gb HSDPA enabled service for £20 per month, which is a little above average for that type of service. But O2 customers will be able to access a network of Wi-Fi hotspots in many locations around the UK; this has come about because of a deal made with the Cloud network.
For anyone who takes out the standard eighteen month contract, they will be able to get the USB dongle for free, however anyone wishing to take out a shorter contract will have to pay up £120 for the dongle. Users can use the hotspots without having to eat into their monthly usage, which is quite a saving if you happen live or work in one!
