Beeb.net closing down soon
by David Allen

In the face of some stiff competition from the main internet service providers in the UK, Beeb.com the internet provider which has been going for over nine years now, has announced that it is closing down on the 30th June this year.
The service is operated by the BBC’s commercial division, BBC Worldwide and had offered web hosting, dial up, broadband and even a free web based email service, but all of these have been out done by the strength of the competition.
It is estimated that Beeb.com’s subscribers can be counted in the hundreds, despite the fact that at its height it did have around 140,000 users, but those were different times and the whole market has changed.
Hopefully the BBC is telling their customers that they should be looking at switch ISP as soon as they possibly can.
