First prices of Freesat equipment announced
by David Allen

It is not long now before the launch of the much awaited Freesat, the satellite service that will be provided by the BBC and ITV, with the possible inclusion of Channel Four and Five being included at a later date.
In anticipation of the launch some of the equipment has been on appearing in the advertising for the new summer Argos catalogue of all places.
Initially there would seem to be a choice of models, two each from Bush and Goodman’s.
The costs vary from around £129.99 right up to £229.99; this will include the cost of installation, estimated at £80.
The Freesat service has a lot of potential, although it was believed that initially there was a start date in mid April, which has now past.
So it should be safe to say that the launch could be anytime soon, but with no word coming out from Freesat the delays could mean the wait going into the summer or beyond.
