UK Beats USA in broadband
by David Allen

In a recent survey it has been found that the UK beats the USA when it comes to broadband. The research comes from the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation.
The UK came in 13th out of the 30 countries on the list, with the USA coming in at 15th however the study was based on a basic scoring system and took into consideration the penetration rate, download speed and the lowest monthly broadband package cost available.
Although the UK beat the USA, there is plenty of European competition ahead - the likes of Finland, Holland, France, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Austria all came in front of the UK.
As for the results, the study found that the UK has a penetration rate of 55% and an average download speed of 2.6 Mbps.
