Carphone Warehouse expands into electrical retail
by David Allen

Always looking to expand into new territories, the Carphone Warehouse has signed a £1.1 billion deal with the US electrical retail giant Best Buy.
The deal will see the existing Carphone Warehouse stores in the UK and across Europe stocking up with cheap electrical goods, such as computers and TVs.
In this agreement it will see Best Buy take a fifty per cent ownership in the retail division.
It is also believed that this deal will see the amount of stores expanded to then directly compete with the others in this particular market sector, like PC World and DSG.
With all of that amount of money in the company’s bank accounts, it would seem that an ideal investment for them would be the UK division of Tiscali.
It is well known that Talk Talk have been interested in looking at merger between to the broadband suppliers and this would work out brilliantly for them.
