Humax FOXSAT-HD STB supports Freesat
by Janet Harris

Humax has unveiled FOXSAT-HD, a digital set top box which supports the Freesat service just launched by the BBC and ITV.
In order to receive Freesat, which provides HD and standard programming free of charge, viewers much have a digital set top box and a satellite dish.
The FOXSAT-HD set top box comes with an HDMI cable, scart cable, remote control and batteries, and can be connected to both analogue and HD-ready TVs.
It is available from major retailers, including Comet, Argos and Currys for around 149.99 plus installation.
Humax will compete against Hauppauge which is launching a free-to-air digital TV tuner which picks up Freesat channels.
Hauppauge’s tuner connects via USB to a laptop or PC.
