Nintendo Wii to get online games

by David Allen

The Nintendo Wii has seen a really good rise in the games console market, whether this is because of its quirkiness with controls that mimic the actions of the user or just that the whole package is better than the competition.

But whatever the reason for people to go out and get one, there is another reason now and that is downloadable games.

As from the 20th May Nintendo will be launching eight arcade style games, which users will be able to simply and quickly download and play.

The titles are yet to be announced but they are expected to be: Dr Mario & Germ Buster, Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles: My Life as a King, Lost Winds, Pirates: The Key of Dreams, Pop, Star Soldier R, Toki Tori and TV Show King.

In order to buy the games, users will need to buy Wii Points.

These will be purchased from certain stores found on the average High Street.

The user just simply pays for the Wii Points by credit or debit card.

The games will be priced from £3.50 up to £11.50.

  1. The Wii is a better package than the competition??

The Wii is NOW to get downloadable games??

    Shows how much you know!

The Wii has had downloadable games (no doubt) since its launch… It’s now getting WiiWare which is small downloadable games made by developers, rather than the old school games you’ve been able to download since launch.

Which also shows that Nintendo are a bit late bringing these sorts of games as Microsoft and Sony have had them since the launch of their consoles and offer a LOT more with their consoles than Nintendo does!

Maybe you should do some research or write on a topic you actually already know something about in the future ;)

    Thanks for a good giggle!
