A final version of Mozzilla’s Firefox 3 web browser should be released sometime next month.
The new version is 2.7 times faster than Firefox 2 and 9.3 times faster than Internet Explorer 7 in JavaScript performance.
Memory usage has also been improved along with 15,000 improvements to make the browser more stable.
A smart location bar has been added, making it much easier to find a web address, and security has been ramped up with new anti-malware features.
If you inadvertently visit a site know to install malicious software, a malware warning will immediately be displayed.
It seems like the browser itself is finished and ready to go, but Mozilla is holding back the release date to allow add-on creators to catch up.
