ISPs exposed in Top 10 Spam list

by David Allen

The anti spam software producer, Clearmymail has been doing a lot of research recently into who are the ISPs most targeted by spam, virus infected and phishing emails, not necessarily in that order, but all serious to the end user.

However many ISPs maintain that they take their customers’ security very seriously, but spam is obviously still a serious problem.

The results were as follows:

1. Orange = 96% average spam rate
2. Toucan = 92.5%
3. Force 9= 90.3%
4. UK Servers = 89.9%
5. Pipex = 88.5%
6. MacUnlimited.net = 85.9%
7. Sky = 84.9%
8. BT Internet = 84/7%
9. Talk Talk = 82.8%
10. Tiscali = 81.3%

As shown, ClearMyMail found that 96% of emails going through its system from Orange ISPs were affected by spam or viruses.
