Education affected by slow broadband

by David Allen

It may only affect a small area, but never the less slow internet speeds could be affecting the future of around three and half thousand children who go to school in Hastings and St Leonard’s.

With most schools in the area being able to achieve an internet speed of up to 8 Mbps, the school in question can only achieve a connection speed of around up to 1 Mbps, which is not going to help the children in their studies and research.

Clearly there is a need to establish some sort of level for different services.

Naturally when it comes to domestic supplies, then that is down to consumer demand, but when there is the potential to affect a child’s future then shouldn’t something be done about it?

There are plenty of options available to the people in charge of providing services to schools; it’s no longer a matter of how far the school is from the exchange.
