More problems for the BBC

by David Allen

Controversy has once again been raised at the BBC, this time it involves the football catch up show “Match of the Day”, which is where the games from the Premier League are shown in shortened versions for fans to catch all of the action.

However there are problems ahead for the show as the bookmaker, Blue Square, has closed the betting on the show’s “Goal of the Season” competition.

This is where there is choice of top goals from the season and the winner has been chosen by the panel of Gary Lineker, Alan Hansen and Mark Lawrenson.

The viewers then call in and guess the winning goal; however it has been found that £10,000 had been placed on a certain goal at Blue Square in just a few hours.

Normally the betting would be something in the region of £5,000 per week.

The investigation continues!
