by Jan Harris
snom technology AG, which develops and manufactures VoIP phones based on the open SIP standard, is offering a new service to users of its phones which will appeal to football fans.
Snom is partnering with bevuta IT GmbH, and Ciphron Advanced Security, to send a free Euro 2008 results ticker to snom phones, and to offer a competition, to predict the outcome of matches, with 50 prizes.
The Euro 2008 service will be available to users of the 300 series of snom VoIP phones, with football scores optimised to suit each individual display size.
Snom phone users can register for the service at http://snom.bevuta.com and download the latest firmware. The Euro 2008 service will then appear on the phone’s menu.
