Carphone Warehouse may take DSG
by David Allen

It was obvious that things would change on the High Street the minute that the Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy put their pens to paper, but it may be a surprise how quickly things have begun to take shape.
For it seems that businesses owned by struggling High Street electrical giant DSG, such as over seven hundred stores like Dixons and Currys, would in fact be perfect for the new electrical sales division of the Carphone Warehouse.
The problem is, are these stores viable?
DSG has been closing down stores in small towns which is noticeable in the High Streets, so whether there is a market for the smaller electrical store will remain to be seen.
Clearly there must be value in the stores and the goodwill too, but will this work for the Carphone Warehouse?
