HomePNA announces 3 new members

HomePNA, a non-profit association which promotes home networking technology that operates over existing wires, has gained three new members.

D-Link Corp., Arcom Labs, Inc. and SerComm Corp. have joined other industry-leading companies in the HomePNA alliance.

HomePNA is the only existing-wire home networking standard for IPTV video distribution over coax and phone lines.

The standard is growing quickly, with recent statistics showing the highest rate of growth in 2007.

This is expected to continue during 2008, with 20,000 homes adopting HomePNA-based networks every week.

HomePNA technology delivers up to 320 Mbit/s of data transmission.

It provides high-quality video, and is cost-effective in terms of installation, operational and end-user costs.
