BT makes an offer nobody can refuse
by David Allen

It would seem that all of the talk about broadband connections is about speed these days.
BT have come up with an offer that these speed hungry users can order to see if they can find a little extra speed somewhere in the system for them.
Naturally there is a cost to the service and for £90 they will send one of their engineers to the customer’s home as part of the BT Home IT Support service.
This is because they have launched a new BT Broadband Accelerator, which is why the engineer needs to visit the promises.
This all may be fine, but if they are unable to increase the broadband speed by at least 0.5 Mb then the customer will be getting a full refund, so there is no risk there then!
There is no magic solution here though; the BT engineer will be checking the customer’s computer, network and distance from the exchange in order to find that extra half a meg.
