Virgin Media turn Simply Red

by David Allen

In an attempt to promote the Virgin Media video on demand service, they have recruited the Simply Red front man Mick Hucknall to appear in an advertising campaign which will be used to promote the service in cinemas.

It is centred around an anti ageing clinic in Switzerland, where the singer is not prescribed surgery, but is prescribed the Virgin Media catch up TV service, as this will help him “Hold Back Zee Years!”

It is all done in animated form and even has Virgin Media boss Sir Richard Branson.

These adverts come as Virgin Media recently introduced the BBC iPlayer to their service, making them the only provider giving their subscribers the opportunity to experience the iPlayer without having to use a computer.
