The UK set to legalise P2P

by David Allen

Could this be the breakthrough that many internet users have been waiting for?

The legalisation of P2P file sharing for UK users could be coming to these shores before the end of the year, making the UK only the second country in the world to offer this service.

The decision to work out a deal would have to be down to the government, which made the music industry and the internet service providers get together and thrash out a deal, which has resulted in this plan coming out.

Although there are no actual deals signed yet, and in fact all of the sides involved would have to agree on certain terms and conditions, the path has been cleared for this to happen and there is no reason to think that the talks should fail and the deal be forgotten about.
