by Janet Harris

SightSpeed Inc., a California-based Internet video communications provider, has entered into a partnership with Dell, which will see its video-communications service pre-installed on Dell’s Studio laptops.
Dell will now be able to provide “Dell Video Chat”, helping its Studio laptop customers stay in touch with their contacts, no matter where in the world they are located.
SightSpeed’s video chat application is based on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), and is compatible with multiple platforms including Windows, Apple and Linux.
It features instant messaging and Internet voice phone capabilities, and is designed to be intuitive to use.
Users of Dell’s Studio laptops will be able to activate the application with just one mouse click.
