Tiscali still undecided on sale

For some people this story may seem to be dragging on a bit, and it is fair to say that yes it probably is, after all when the auction was first announced there was some real interest in this company and who was in the market to pick it up.

One such bid was the one from Carphone Warehouse for the UK division of Tiscali and yet their bid did not even make the final cut.

Now that Vodafone have said that they will be pulling out of the bidding process all together, this has thrown the whole deal up in the air, with no clear indication how it is to proceed.

It is true that Tiscali could not have chosen a worse time to try and sell a business, although it should not be assumed that the likes of BSkyB, Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone are suffering from the credit crunch.

With the 30th June deadline passed, its up to Tiscali now to announce the final decision, if any!
