Vodafone offers laptops with built in SIM

by David Allen

As a result of a partnership between Vodafone and ThinkPad notebook maker Lenovo the price of buying a laptop with mobile broadband already built it is set to fall.

Normally when ordering a laptop, if a customer wants mobile broadband built in, then it would probably cost around £100, but in this deal the price has been reduced to nothing, as customers will be able to get one of the new range of laptops with this technology already built in for no extra cost.

The new Lenovo range of laptops are due to be launched next month in the UK.

Buyers will be able to choose to either have the mobile broadband installed or not, depending on their personal preference.

The growth of laptops with built in mobile broadband is set to rise considerably over the next four years, as more users find that mobile working is becoming a real possibility.
