Business emails nearly all spam

by David Allen

It is an astonishing figure that only one in every twenty eight emails received by businesses are legitimate, and it goes without saying that this can be a real pain to the people in charge of dealing with emails for the company.

In a report by the IT security firm, Sophos, that is published every quarter, spam sent to businesses reached 96.5% for the quarter ending in June.

When this is compared to the previous quarter of 92.3% it is clear that this menace is on the increase.

This problem highlights the need for businesses to use an effective method of dealing with spam; otherwise it is likely that the huge amount of spam targeted at businesses could have a long term effect on the efficient running of the business.
