ITV wins the FA Cup

With the football season only a matter of weeks away, thoughts of the FA Cup may not be on the minds of those fans whose teams are playing in the higher leagues. However, for the non-league and lower league teams this is an important time as the FA Cup actually starts next month.

Seeing this as a great opportunity ITV will be making the highlights of these early matches available for fans to watch online at itv.com and itvlocal.com. It is a fantastic opportunity for these lower ranked clubs to get a bit of coverage in a sport that would normally only feature the higher end of the league tables.

Any team that does not have an ITV camera team at their FA Cup matches will be able to upload their own videos of the match to the section of the website, which has been put aside for grassroots football.

The first rounds of the FA Cup start on the 16th August.
