Virgin Media has super fast plans
by David Allen

According to the media regulator Ofcom, at the moment the average broadband download speed in the UK is 4 Mbps but Virgin Media has plans that will increase the UK average speed and provide some lucky users speeds of up 200 Mbps by 2012!
With connect speeds that fast, households would be able to so much more over the internet than they can now. Virgin Media are thinking of HD TV, interactive gaming and for those who want to teleconferencing could be available.
Currently Virgin Media are working on their 50 Mbps network; this is expected to be rolled over the year or so. However, they are also investing in the technology that will maximise their network to cater for these high speed demands.
