The SID Data Model for Atrium CMDB has been launched by TuringSMI Telecoms Division, in an effort to allow Communications Service Providers to effectively maintain their telecoms structure slightly more effectively.
The new launch will hopefully improve efficiency for all parties, and the main point being, service interruption, should be kept to a minimum. Communications Service Providers will also be able to benefit from being able to manage both telecoms and IT Infrastructure data by using just this model.
The times of change have always been a struggle for CSPs, especially if such changes as to the configuration were to be implemented, due to the complex nature of the data.
The new SID Data Model for Atrium CMDB from TuringSMI is hopefully a slight turning point in technology as it will have a higher capability.
Apart from the above the SID Data Model will also improve visibility, management, and it’s general improvements means less and less interruption will occur.
The SID Data Model isn’t complex to use, and it can be used in conjunction with ITIL-based service management applications such as Service Desk, Change Management and Asset Management, showing that it has the capabilities to improve the CSPs current structuring.
