Telecoms software developer, 3CX, has announced version 6.0 of 3CX Phone System for Windows, which introduces 10 new features for businesses.
Over a period of just 20 weeks, 3CX has added key new functionality including call conferencing, paging and support for Windows 2008.
Windows 2008 support allows enterprises to virtualise a PBX and eliminates the need for an extra server to run a phone system.
As well as saving on hardware costs, enterprises benefit from lower administration and energy costs.
Other new features include intercom, support for Vegastream gateways, enhanced SIP interoperability, BLF provisioning, phonebook provisioning, fax server, and extended HTTP API.
Four versions are available – Small Business, Pro, Enterprise and a free edition.
3CX has offices in the UK, USA, Germany, Cyprus, Malta and Hong Kong.
