The Olympics go HD
by David Allen

The BBC have been promising the Olympics in HD for some time, and now Freesat are promising over 300 hours of high definition viewing of the Beijing Olympics.
According to Freesat, “every drop of water falling off the oars of a rower to the sand erupting from the long jump pit will be beautifully clear”.
In order to view the Olympics in HD on Freesat, viewers will need an HD ready television, as well a Freesat HD digital box or a Panasonic PZ81 Viera HD TV with Freesat HD built in.
Manufacturers of Freesat HD digital boxes include Humax, Goodmans, Grundig and Bush.
The BBC will be screening the events from early in the morning at 0200 hrs right through until the early evening at about 1800 hrs.
