Vodafone enters mobile music market

by David Allen

The mobile music industry in the UK is getting a new kid on the block.

Vodafone Music may be a late comer to the scene, but that does not mean that there are going to be some cut price offers to kick the service off.

In fact, the prices appear to be more expensive than iTunes.

A single from Vodafone will cost 99p, whereas the same single from the Apple store will cost only 79p!

Vodafone were running MusicStation - this is where the members pay a monthly subscription of £1.99 which allows them to download as many songs as they want - but what is happening to this service is unknown as of yet.

One cool feature from Vodafone Music is the ability for the tracks to be sampled before they are purchased, but the listener only gets thirty seconds worth!
