Worst ISP for Spam

by David Allen

According to research undertaken by ClearMyMail, the anti spam Software Company, customers of Orange UK find that 96.9% of all received emails are made up of spam, which is a truly incredible amount of junk mail to be receiving.

Mistral Internet came in a close second with 94.4% of spam.

It is amazing that so much spam is still being sent out, and some other famous names did not get out of the top ten worse ISP’s for spam - BT customers got 88.9% and Tiscali did a little better with 82.1%.

Further to these very revealing figures, the study also came up with an average figure of blocked spam messages for each internet user in the second quarter of the year - it is estimated that just under thirty one thousand spam messages were blocked.

With spam and phishing becoming a serious problem, banking details are the target and customers of the Royal Bank of Scotland are the most targeted by phishing emails.
