It is supposed that BT has already found ten thousand volunteers for the next trial of Phorm, and BT has been saying that the trial is due to take place for some time, but as yet this has not happened.
In fact at the last AGM in July the Chief Executive, Gavin Patterson, did say that the launch would be in a couple of weeks. Which would make it about now?
However, a spokesman from BT has said that the “invitations” are due to be sent out very soon, which looks as if BT has not got the volunteers required to allow the trial to go ahead.
There has been a real move against the introduction of Phorm, but what really pushed the cause over the edge was the fact that BT had conducted a secret trial.
Are there technical problems preventing BT from conducting the trial or is there something else?
Whatever the reasons, there should be some notice if a trial is going ahead.
This is because BT would need to get permission from their customers in order for the trial to take place.
